Samba 2gb file limit

BocaDePez

Hola guys sorry for english ma yo soy italiano.

I was trying to mount a usb hard disk as "unidad de red" but samba inside hg556a can not show file much great than 2 gb.

Anyone knows as to solve this? It's quite useless this way.

Searching on the forum other people suggest to mount with cifs but i don't know how to do it, because it's not compiled inside the kernel of the router

thanks

The problem is FAT32 limitation, not samba.

Lo siento but no, Fat32 has a limit of 4gb not 2gb, the problem is really samba, if you search on google "samba 2gb limit" you will see.

It's solved using samba 2 (or 3) and mounting as cifs but i don't know ho to do it
