i am having trouble connecting to the internet
using the cable isp menta and a motorola 4200 modem..
windows xp auto config of the ip / dns
give time out internnet pages.
is there any config that needs to be specificly set
in the ip or the dns ?

Tu ISP, osea Menta, es la que tiene que facilitarte tu IP, publica y tus DNS.
En el XP, desde Mis sitios de Red (boton derecho raton), propiedades, conexion de área local, protocolo TCP/IP, propiedades, podras configurar la IP y las DNS.
Supongo que el modem lo tendras configurado por tu ISP.
Your ISP, bony Mint, is the one that has to facilitate you your IP, it publishes and your DNS.
In the XP, from My places of Net (button right mouse), properties, connection of local area, protocol TCP/IP, properties, rot to configure the IP and the DNS.
I suppose that the modem will have it configured by your ISP.

but for some reason it only work on my main computer
if i switch the cable to my laptop it no longer work..
in menta locked on one MAC Adress ?

No, Menta allows two MACs to be attached to its network from one modem.
You will have to register the second PC on Menta's network. This can be done by entering the page http://10.255.255.13 from your browser on the laptop.
The only think you have to assure is that you have not already registered two computers. If this is the case, then enter the registering page (http://10.255.255.13) from your desktop PC and delete the second PC. After this, you can try again to register the laptop.

But on mac adresse i can see
the one of the main pc set as Mgmt Provisioned
and the one of the laptop set as Learned
i can access 192.168.100.1 from the laptop and the main pc
but all other request/ip from the laptop time out ...

This direction http://10.255.255.13 doesn't work now. MENTA has changed the way to register the second pc. Now you have to speak with them and they will register the 2 pc.
To speak with the you can ring to 900 859 859 (it's free).

Hola a todos, a ver si alguien me puede ayudar. Quiero conectar tres ordenadores a traves de un router. La señorita del servicio técnico me ha dicho que tengo que registrarlo en la ip: 10.255.255.13, pero no puedo acceder a ella.
Pues eso que no se si voluntariamente o no nos han jodido el acceso a dicha pagina y desde hace un tiempo no podemos ... No te quedara mas remedio que llamar al SAT/SAC e insistir para que te lo cambien ellos.
