Cisco releases a second patch , this last one do this :
When the modem grabs the .cm the CMTS check the MIC (Message Integ. Check ) and Calls DHCP to know if it send the .cm to your modem , if the dhcp deny that , cable boots .
To check it , try upload an original .cm to your cable, if works the cmts dont check the dhcp , than u can use another original better than u have , sign a less price service and get the best for same price

Exactly, I have done that, but the fact is that the cable company has only 1 plan, a 320/160 KB/s . The only thing that you can change is the number of cpes....so I change my file (for 1 cpe) for one that a friend had (for 2 cpes) and the modem accepted it.
So, the thing is that there isn't a file with a better speeds....only with more cpes.
Then I think that my only hope is to get the md5 key and make my own config file...so that's the question....should that work? Anyone knows how to get that key?
Habla de k el servidor, despues de recibir el fichero, se pone en contacto con el DHCP para ver si ha sido EL quien lo ha enviado,y sino ha sido, se resetea el cm. Creo k es la mejor explicacion a lo k esta pasando.
Esto es esactamente lo que pasa en murcia cuando tu cuando mandas el archivo, el online del modem queda parpadeando junto al activity. Nada mas enviar el .cm se resetea el modem.
